When I first got the The Row Margaux 15 I was in loooove, even though it wasn’t a practical bag for me (see my review of The Row Margaux 15 here). And I thought my problems would be solved with the Margaux 10. Well almost a year after I wrote my Margaux 15 review I got my hands on a relatively well priced Margaux 10. So did I love it as much as I thought I would?
We went for a quick trip back to Hawaii for spring break and I was able to get away for a couple of hours to do some luxury reconnaissance at Ala Moana. I’ve updated my Luxury Shopping in Hawaii 2025 post with new prices from Loewe, Bottega, Celine, Louis Vuitton, Coach, and Valextra.
For those who follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve been a fan of this bag since the day I got it. I teased it, then did a Reel on it, and then posted about the Songmont price increase, but have yet to do a full review of it here. So I apologize for the delay but better late than never I guess?
I was considering adding this to my already lengthy Quince Fine Jewelry Review post, but I thought this could be it’s own ever-growing post since I’m really in love with Quince’s lab grown diamond jewelry.
On a recent trip to Oahu, I was able to get away for a couple of hours of luxury reconnaissance. I visited Loewe, Bottega, Celine, Coach, and Valextra, to try out some of their pieces as well as learn of any “Hawaii prices” (usually a bit lower than the mainland US pricing). I have a 2025 Hawaii Luxury Shopping guide here, where I’ve bolded my April updates.
I’m a huge fan of Cartier (see all my other Cartier reviews here), so I never really thought to try a ring in the store before purchasing it secondhand. I never met a Cartier piece I didn’t like. Well as they say, there’s a first for everything! And sadly this small Juste Un Clou ring with diamonds is the first Cartier item I don’t like.
It’s been awhile since a Polene bag excited me enough to click “Buy,” but when I saw the Mokki Mini I liked it right away. My last Polene bag was the Beri (Polene Beri review here), which I bought almost four years ago. So I thought it was time to try another Polene bag. So what did I think? Is it a keeper?
March is my birthday month and I definitely of overdid it on the shopping front. I plan to reel it back in for April for sure!
I don’t have that many jackets and blazers from Quince, especially considering their plethora of options these days. But here are all the jackets I’ve tried since starting to review Quince in 2019, and I have to say that most of them are pretty good.
If you’ve been following along here for a bit, you know I just bought this secondhand Loewe Lazo Tote in November of last year, but I’ve been wanting it since October of 2019 (having a blog to record every want and purchase comes in handy 😂). Well the price finally came down enough (sub $500) that I thought, why not? And wow I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been waiting for it for so long or because it really is a great bag, but I’ve been using it so much ever since I got it.
I’ve been on a K-brand (Korean brand) bag kick ever since my first Korean Brand Bags Review. I originally thought I might tack this on one to that first review, but I’ve gotten enough interest (and I have enough to say) to make this a stand alone post. So without further ado, here is my review of my first (but probably not last) Margesherwood (yes all one word) bag.
February flew by (as it’s wont to do), but here are the handful of things I did besides get sick multiple times.
I’ve been interested in the Hermes Plume bag ever since The Row came out with their own version of it (The Domino bag). The Plume and Domino have a fairly plain and classic look, but isn’t that just what’s “in” these days? I honestly didn’t think I would love the Plume 32 as much as I do.
Starting in 2025, I’ve decided to try writing these recaps a little different. Instead of separating them out in “Did” and “Buy” sections I’m just going to write a general recap. But without further ado:
I know I already mentioned the Dunst Classic 28 Bag in my Korean Bag Brands Review, but I decided to take the time to write a dedicated post about Dunst because I’m in love with their clothes as well (or more specifically their Leather Logo Half-Zip Sweatshirt).
Last year I was on a different kind of Hermes journey: one where I tried a bunch of secondhand bags from the brand (and not on the one to get the Birkin lol). The thing about not being able to try on bags before buying them is that you’re going to make a lot of mistakes. And with Hermes, there has been a lot of trial and error since I couldn’t try most of these bags in a store (now I know a bit better and will try things out in store at The RealReal if I’m contemplating an Hermes purchase).
Since we’re in the thick of winter, I decided to finally write this review that’s been in my drafts folder for almost a year now. When it comes to lip balm I’m sure many people are like “lip balm is lip balm” so why pay more?
December was a rough month with the delay of our business opening and my first colonoscopy 🫠
I should know by now that impulsively purchasing a bag just because it’s on sale is ALWAYS a bad idea for me. And most years I manage to avoid these sale impulse purchases but for one reason or another (but mostly because of YouTube) I fell for it this year. And two out of two of these Shopbop sale items are a total miss.
Back in June, I wrote a post about my most used bags for the first half of the year, so here’s the ones I used the most for the latter part of the year.
I rarely talk about men’s clothing here because let’s be real, males are not really likely to read this blog (unless they’re researching a gift for their gf/wife/mom/sister). But in that same vein, I thought I would at least mention some items I’ve purchased from Quince for my husband since they can make great gifts.
I have really cooled it on my purchases for the last half of this year so unlike the first half of the year, I don’t have 10 things I’m glad I bought but just five.
In the past I’ve done posts about my most worn Quince items for the year, however this past year I only got a couple of clothing items from Quince. I ended up getting a lot more non-wardrobe products from them, so this year’s round-up will be my overall most used items across all their various categories (but honestly mostly from the Home section).
I’ve been meaning to write this review for ages since I’ve had these Harlow wide-leg pants from Madewell for well over a year now. In fact I liked them so much in black that I got another pair in khaki (even though I rarely purchase items new these days). And the fact that they’re still a best seller over a year from when I purchased them must mean they’re must be a good pair of pants.
This In-The-Loop 23 was the second bag I got straight from the Hermes boutique (the SF one), but my first new bag after getting back into Hermes (the first was my Evelyne, which I ended up selling). And for awhile it stayed on my shelf because I found the top-handle only style very inconvenient to carry.
Of the three kinds of bags from The Row that I’ve owned thus far (the Margaux, the Park tote, and this Sofia crossbody), the Sofia seems to be the least popular. And I can kind of see why. It’s the smallest of the bags but just as pricey as the Margaux 10 (current retail for the Sofia is $3990!). Luckily I got mine secondhand (from Brandear) and paid about a third of that price. So do I think it’s worth it?
I first found out about Ecovac and their line of vacuum and mopping robots through a Japanese Youtube influencer about a year ago. And ever since then I’ve wanted one because I dislike dirty floors but also dislike mopping. So was the Ecovac Deebot T30S Combo worth it?
Since May 10th someone has cloned my blog website and had made a duplicate copy under a url ending in “.us” (please try not to visit their site since I don’t want to drive traffic there). Until I can get their site taken down I will not be posting anymore blog posts. You can follow me on Instagram @fairlycurated or on YouTube @fairlycurated
