I don’t have that many jackets and blazers from Quince, especially considering their plethora of options these days. But here are all the jackets I’ve tried since starting to review Quince in 2019, and I have to say that most of them are pretty good.
a very old pic
The Organic Comfort Stretch Chore Jacket
This was my first jacket review so you might have seen it in a past post. I’m not really a chore jacket kind of person, but I reviewed this item upon request. I find a lot of chore jackets a tad too long for my 5’4” frame (in a size medium), though I love the utility of a good chore jacket. Quince’s chore jacket is 97% cotton and 3% spandex, hence the stretch. The quality is great and I would say comparable to an Everlane chore jacket (for a bit less in price). Overall I was pretty happy with it though tbh I still rarely wore it because I’m not a chore jacket kind of gal. I ended up selling this one to Crossroads. [P.S. After reading some reviews on reddit (this is in 2025), I’ve found that this chore jacket “wears like steel” as the person put it, thus I believe this one is a long-term winner.]
100% Organic Cotton Knit Blazer
I once had a a cotton knit blazer from Marc by Marc Jacobs that I wore to death back in the day, but I got rid of it once I stopped going into an office. But I have to say this Quince one is better. The knit weave is tighter and the fabric material is a lot sturdier. There’s nothing worse than a flimsy blazer—it looks cheap IMO. But this one doesn’t. When I first got this it was only available in 3 or 4 colors, but now there’s 13 so you know it must be popular. I wear my usual size, medium, and it has enough room to fit a light sweater underneath if I wanted to. The length is just past my butt (I’m 5’4”) so it’s on the long side. The only complaint I’ve seen is that the sleeves are kind of short, but I think for petite gals they’ll be just right. If you’re looking for a casual blazer to give an outfit just a bit more polish, this might be right for you.
Stretch Crepe Cropped Jacket
As a petite-ish gal I’m always looking for a good cropped jacket. And this is one of the early ones that Quince released. I got it a while back, but I’m not sure I would buy it today since it’s made of 100% plastic. However now that it’s in my wardrobe I wear it. But honestly I can’t recommend a brand new fully plastic jacket (even if it’s from recycled polyester) that’s not serving some sort of activewear function.
100% Merino Wool Collarless Cropped Jacket
This is a newer cropped jacket that I purchased (fully influenced by a youtuber). It’s giving Chanel, even though that’s not really my style. However I have to say the quality is quite good and the jacket is really warm. The wool material is pretty thick so the jacket is structured. I also got this in a medium and it fits well. The style of the jacket is a bit more formal than what I usually wear, but I think i’s a good option to have if I need a dressier jacket that’s warm. I’ll update this review once I wear it more.
This is my first leather item from Quince and I have to say it’s quite nice. It smells like leather without smelling like a leather couch, but more like a nice leather purse. I’m not a leather biker jacket kind of gal so I’ve been staying away from leather jackets since my 20’s. But I thought this leather shirt jacket—a shacket if you will, would be a great form of a leather jacket. Unfortunately it’s quite long and I found the medium to be quite big. So I don’t think it’s doing my petite-ish frame any favors. So even though I got this at the beginning of Fall last year, I never really wore it. I think if I were to choose a leather jacket from Quince the leather bomber would be a better fit.
And that’s it for jackets. Jackets, coats, and blazers tend to be things that last years in my wardrobe so there’s no need to be purchasing them every season. But if I add any more to my closet I’ll of course update this review, but for now I don’t have too many.
