I’ve tried a lot of Quince’s jewelry over the last couple of years. I’ve been very lucky to earn credit from my referrals and since I’m a real sucker for jewelry, I’ve tried a lot of their offerings. And not to mention, since I don’t get paid to share my love of Quince (no freebies or sponsorships here), instead I use my credit to “pay” myself in jewelry. With the price of gold going up, let’s just say it’s not a terrible exchange. Plus I get to enjoy all the sparklies (as my daughter calls them) to wear on a daily basis (and Quince really does do daily minimal jewelry well). Oh and I should mention I only cover the 14k solid gold pieces in this review and none of the gold vermeil items.
Earrings
Mini Solo Hoop: Even though these mini hoops are very well priced, I wasn’t a big fan because it was pretty hard to take off once they were clicked into place. This shouldn’t be a problem to those that leave their earrings on but since I like to take them off and on, it was a bit of a hassle. You can read my full review of them here.
Bold 14k gold hoops: In the same review, I talk about the bold hoops as well. I liked these much better since they were easier to take off. And even though they’re called the bold hoops, because they are so small it’s not so much bold as it is just regular lol. I think they’re a great pair of minimal, yet noticeable, mini hoop earrings.
Freshwater Cultured Pearl Stud: I reviewed these Quince pearl stud earrings here and I still stand by my conclusion that they’re one of the best valued items of jewelry on their site. I still wear mine and have gifted several pairs as well. They are beautiful earrings! My only complaint at the time of the review was how they were packaged. But since then Quince has upgraded their packaging to a box along with a small felt bag (it looks and feels a lot like Mejuri packaging). Thus I have zero complaints. Thanks Quince for noticing and making the change!
14K gold line studs: I got this for a giveaway I did here on this blog (not affiliated with Quince) and even though I never tried them on or kept them, I thought they were a good solid pair of simple earrings. And they’re a good value for 14k gold earrings under $80.
[added October 2022] 14K Gold Petite Pear Diamond Studs: When they say petite, they aren’t kidding. These petite pear diamond studs are smaller than a grain of rice. But if you’re looking for something super duper tiny, then these studs might be for you. For $179, I wouldn’t say they were cheap but they’re more affordable than the $250 Mejuri charges for a similar pair. Anyway I could see these studs being a super cute accessory for those with multiple holes in their ear. They would look like tiny stars flickering in your ear.
Rings
(in order from the picture above, top to bottom):
Bold Stacker Ring: If you’re looking for some bang for your buck, then this bold stacker ring might be the one for you. For the price ($129) it looks more expensive than it is. And even though it says “bold” in the name it’s rather regular to me (a good size width at 3mm), and all the other gold bands are definitely on the dainty side. I got this in my usual forefinger size (size 7) and found it to be a smidge smaller than a 7 so I guess you could say the ring size runs small (it’s most likely because the wider band also makes it feel snugger).
Gold Classic Band: This band is the next size down in width from the bold stacker ring. And as you can see in my picture, it’s quite a bit smaller (at 1.65mm). This is the classic wedding band for women. Even though it’s smaller, the band is a bit thicker (at 1.25mm) around so it doesn’t feel flimsy. But for $149, I feel like the bold stacker ring is a better deal.
Gold Stacker Ring: This 14k ring is the cheapest at $70 but you are getting what you pay for. This is the thinnest and most minimal ring of the bunch. In the picture above you can see it just above the gold twist ring. It’s 1mm in width so unless you’re looking for the barest of rings, I would go with the gold twist ring below for the same price.
Gold Twist Ring: As I said this is the same price as the gold stacker ring ($70), but it’s 1.3mm in width. You wouldn’t think the 0.3mm would make a difference visually but it does. The twist also adds a little bit of texture and interest to the ring, which makes it good on its own or layered with other simple rings. If you’re looking to start a ring collection of 14k Quince rings, I recommend starting with this one or the beaded ring I discuss below.
Pave Slim Signet Ring: As I mentioned in my March recap, I got this ring because I’ve loved the design since I saw at Mejuri. And I had been eyeing it as a future purchase, so lucky me when it showed up on Quince for $135 less (update: Mejuri raised their prices so the Quince one is now $150 less). I make some comparisons between the Quince and Mejuri ring below, but let me just say this is a gorgeous and sparkly ring that’s eye-catching but not over the top. I haven’t taken it off since I got it.
Diamond Wedding Band: I talk about my love for my new wedding band in my last Quince round-up review. And my love is still going strong! Like I said, this ring is a great value and it’s another ring from Quince that I haven’t taken off since I got it.
Solo Diamond Bezel Ring: I wasn’t expecting much out of this ring since the diamond looks so tiny. And so I thought it’d look sad, but tbh it has quite a sparkle and looks bigger in person than on the website. Of course it’s still a small diamond, but the bezel makes it look bigger while adding a clean minimal design. I layer it often with the diamond line ring (mentioned below) and it’s my favorite combo of Quince rings when I want something clean, minimal, yet sparkly.
Diamond Line Ring: This ring was a surprise hit for me. On the website, the ring doesn’t look that impressive or special. But I have to say, the ring is quite pretty in person. It’s about the size of the classic gold band but I love that hint of sparkle. It’s subtle but still an eye-catching detail. I think if you’re looking for a band with a bit of something, then this is the band for you.

Gold Beaded Ring (pictured above): I ended up getting this ring because I wanted to know how it compared to the gold twist ring above. Both are very similar, with a stated 1.3mm thickness. But I find the beaded ring to be a tad more substantial looking, even though it’s only $5 more. So if you’re looking for a textured ring that’s a smidge bolder, then I would go with the beaded ring over the twist ring.
Diamond Beaded Ring (not pictured): This was one of the first rings I got from Quince and tbh I was not that impressed. The quality of the ring didn’t seem up to par with all their other items. I think for $40 less the solo diamond bezel ring is a much better buy. I ended up reselling this on the RealReal and they sold it at $125 (retails $189 at Quince).

{February 2023 Update: I recently purchased the 14k gold Ridge Band and wow, another great ring from Quince! The ridges really catch the light and make it seem more interesting than a regular old band. But like the other rings made in South Korea (namely the Bold Stacker Ring above) this band is also a smidge tight. Again I got a 7 and it feels snug (but not uncomfortably so).}
{April 2023 Update: I got the 14K Gold Diamond Astrid Scatter Ring and love the look of all the little diamonds scattered on the band. I’ve always loved rings that look a little different, and there’s a kind of celestial quality to this one. The small diamonds sparkle beautifully. The only thing about this one is that I don’t wear it around my kid because I’m afraid to scratch her with it (the multiple pronged settings can definitely scratch someone if you graze the back of your hand on their skin a little too roughly). But I don’t think this ring would be a problem for kid-free environments.}
{June 2023 Update: I added two more Quince fine jewelry rings to my jewelry box this month, the 14k Gold Curb Chain Ring and the Dainty Pearl Half Eternity Ring. First up, the curb chain ring is literally a chain that fits around your finger. This is my first chain ring and I don’t think I’m a fan of the style in general. It’s not the easiest to put on and take off and I’m not used to the feel of it on my finger. I think I would prefer a ring with the cuban chain look but a real ring. As for the dainty pearl half eternity ring, I love it. I’ve always been a fan of the seed pearl look, used mostly in antique jewelry. But Quince’s take is like the modern version of a seed pearl band. If you like delicate pearls, this ring is for you.}
Bracelets
Lariat Bracelet: I bought this bracelet as a giveaway but sadly it broke on the giveaway winner. She was a great sport about it though, and Quince customer service was excellent in exchanging it. But that was the first and last time I bought a bracelet from Quince (until August 2023—see below).
{August 2023 Update: So even though I haven’t been a fan of their old line of bracelets (Quince only had three for the longest time), I couldn’t resist trying their Diamond Letter Bracelet. And I’m glad I tried it out because I really like the simple yet sparkly initial. But I should also mention I’m a sucker for almost any piece of jewelry with my and my daughter’s letter “E.” The chain on this is a bit dainty too so I’m not sure if it’ll break in the future. But the nice thing about it is that it has several jump rings so you can wear it to a length that’s comfortable to you. I wear it so the bracelet hugs my wrist so there’s less of a chance for it to get caught on anything.}

February 2024 Update: I have found my absolute favorite bracelet from Quince, the Open Cuff Contour Bracelet in sterling silver. This cuff bracelet has a nice heft to it, and some beautiful curves. I’m on a real sterling silver kick right now, and this is the exact cuff of my dreams. I also like that it’s malleable enough for me to squeeze the cuff smaller to fit my wrists (though I’m sure you can also keep it more open if your wrists are larger). I love it so much I considered getting the gold as well, but polishing up tarnished gold vermeil is harder than polishing sterling silver so I thought I’d rather just be happy with the one. Anyway if you’ve been looking to add a silver cuff to your wrist, you can’t go wrong with this one!
Necklaces
Diamond Bar Necklace: For a long time this was the nicest necklace Quince had, and I purchased a couple to give as gifts. I no longer wear dainty necklaces as much so I didn’t keep any for myself. But I thought the diamonds, though petite, were quite sparkly. I think this necklace is a great buy if you’re looking for something minimal with a hint of sparkle around your neck.
Gold Chain Link Necklace: This was my second necklace purchase from Quince and I love it. I wear it occasionally with a pendant and I find the links to be noticeable but not substantial. It’s still on the fairly delicate side but looks great paired with even more delicate chains with pendants. The quality is wonderful and I plan to wear this for a long time to come. At 18” it’s a good length and this necklace is ethically made in Italy. Also this necklace weighs 3.42 grams (that’s a good amount of gold for the cost).
{July 2022 Update: I purchased a couple of Quince’s 14k Birthstone necklace (the emerald one on the left and the aquamarine one in the center) along with Quince’s Diamond Bezel necklace (the one on the right) as gifts and I thought I would take the time to compare them here. As you can see from the picture above, the diamond bezel is quite tiny at 4.44mm across (0.06ct). The aquamarine and emerald are 6mm across (with the stone itself being 4mm). And that looks about right, except the aquamarine is clearly larger than the emerald. This makes sense since the aquamarine and emerald necklace are priced the same (at $129.90) but an emerald is a much more expensive gem than an aquamarine. The diamond is priced at $149.90, which I don’t think is a bad deal. The exact same item (same 0.06ct diamond) goes for $325 on Mejuri. Both are made with conflict-free diamonds and recycled gold. So there’s no difference except the name on the box it comes in (even their packaging is pretty similar).}
So which are my favorites? I personally love rings and bracelets because I wear jewelry for myself, so I want to be able to see it (without having to use a mirror). I don’t think the bracelets are a great buy from Quince, but the rings are lovely! My favorite rings are the diamond wedding band, the pave diamond slim signet ring, the diamond line ring, and the solo diamond bezel ring. And yes I do have a soft spot for diamond rings, even if they have the teeniest tiniest diamond. What can I say, I’m just a magpie when it comes to jewelry.
I think Quince’s main competitor for fine jewelry (the one they’re trying to steal market share from) is Mejuri. A lot of their styles echo classic Mejuri styles, and Quince’s price point is just under Mejuri’s. Having been a Mejuri “amabassador” in the past and having gone to their brick and mortar store, I would say that yes, Quince is comparable to Mejuri. For example, Mejuri’s and Quince’s pave diamond signet rings are quite similar. Mejuri’s ring has a band width of 1.2 mm - 3.7 mm with 0.165 tcw of diamonds. Quince’s has a band width of 1 mm - 3.6 mm with 0.17 tcw of diamonds. So you’re looking at a 0.2 difference in width (with the Mejuri one being a smidge thicker) but a price difference of $135 (which is nothing to sneeze at). {Update: Mejuri now sells this ring for $400 thus the price difference is now $150.}. But I will say even though both are made with conflict free diamonds, Mejuri is made with the added bonus of recycled gold so there’s that. And of course Mejuri has a ton of different styles and options. Quince’s options are quite limited. But if you like classic styles and well-made jewelry at probably the best prices on the internet, then Quince is your best bet.

Guess white gold is back in fashion but personally I can’t switch back (when I was younger I was 100% a white gold/silver person). I wonder if it’s because of my age that I think yellow gold looks better on me?}
