Back in June, I wrote a post about my most used bags for the first half of the year, so here’s the ones I used the most for the latter part of the year. Splitting it up like this has really shown me, that depending on the time of year, some bags really shine (ie get a lot of use), whereas they might not normally make it on any most used bags list at all. And there was only one bag that was on the most used list for the first half and last half of 2024. Can you guess which one?

5) Vintage Louis Vuitton Epi Noe and Loewe Mini Hammock Hobo tied (10 days each)
When I first got the vintage LV Epi leather Noe I loooved it and used it (for what felt like) quite a bit (well it looks like at least 10 days straight). This was my go-to bag for our short Airstream trip in October and I think it’s the perfect travel bag if you’re not going to somewhere that’s crowded (on the other hand if you’re going somewhere where security is an an issue than this is not the bag to take). Even though it’s from the 90’s and the brass is a bit tarnished (going to have to shine it up soon), it’s a great casual bag with plenty of life left. It’s also a great bag for the movie theaters since I can stuff a lot of snacks and drinks into it (I mean it’s originally meant to hold 5 champagne bottles).
As for the Loewe Mini Hammock Hobo, this was my go-to bag when I needed an easy crossbody bag. So this was my bag of choice when I went to my kid’s soccer games or birthday parties. The leather is hardy, waterproof enough (ie just wipe off the water asap), and fits everything in a fairly compact form factor. When I first got this bag I wasn’t sure if I’d use it a lot (especially since it’s a bit wonky when left open—see my Loewe Mini Hammock Hobo review here), but now I see how useful it is and have no regrets. I even prefer it over my mini Flamenco, which is about the same size but doesn’t have a top handle.
4) Hermes In-The-Loop 23 (14 days)
To get ready for my Hermes In-The-Loop 23 review, I made myself to wear this bag (yes I did have to force myself to use it). But I found that once I had the third party strap it was quite an easy bag to use. However, honestly I don’t know if this bag will make it on a most used bag list after this since I much prefer the Picotin 22 over this one (which I detail in the review).
3) The Row Medium Park Tote (25 days)
Almost a year later and I’m still very much in love with my medium Park Tote from The Row. I’ve worn it 25 days of the last 90 (but 67 days overall), which makes it my third most worn bag of all time (well at least since I’ve started tracking 5 years ago) and most used bag of 2024. So yep, this was the one bag that was on both most used lists for the first and last half of 2024. I keep it stuffed when not in use so thus far the bag is holding up great. There’s some softening of the corners and the leather has darkened a bit, but the handle is still stiff and there’s no other signs that this is a well-used bag. Honestly I love the Park Tote so much. But I’ve learned my lesson and stuck with just this one (read The Row Park Tote review here), and thus got a ton of use out of it.
2) Hermes Picotin 22 (31 days)
Like the Hermes In-The-Loop bag above, I made myself use this bag for the purposes of a review. However, unlike the In-The-Loop bag, I found myself continuing to use the bag because I actually like it. Once I had the third-party strap the bag was super easy to use. I like the fact that I can throw a lot of things into it and just sling it over my shoulder. I just stopped using it because we started heading into the rainy season here and I didn’t want to risk the bag getting wet. But I can see myself using this bag all summer next year.
1) Vintage Bottega Veneta Medium Veneta Hobo (42 days)
And speaking of summer bags, this was THE bag of the summer for me. Once I switched into it, I didn’t want to switch out. I never thought I was the hobo type (I originally bought this bag because of the color). But I found the hobo so easy to use—just sling it over my shoulder. And the Veneta hobo is just so nice and smooshy. I just ended up really loving the bag. It also made me a big fan of Bottega and have been looking for my next Bottega piece since then. I can’t wait to bring it back out in the spring!
Least Used Bags Of The Year
1) Chanel Medium Flap (0 days)
As I mentioned in my Things I No Longer Buy post, this last standing Chanel in my collection is still here because it was a 30th birthday present from my mom that I plan to pass down to my daughter. But honestly I never use it and it’s become more of a mill stone around my neck.
2) Celine Nano Belt Bag (1 day)
I like this bag still but it definitely feels dated to me. I find that I just never reach for item even though I still like how easy it is to use and how it looks. I might try to bring it out again in 2025.
3) Celine Soft Cube Bag (1 day)
Wow from one of my most used bags to now the least. I still love the Soft Cube and will never part with it ever. I do find though that I don’t reach for crossbody bags as much anymore, and especially this one because the strap is so thin. But no matter how little I use this, it’s still a keeper, and I’ll try to get more use out of this one next year as well. [Side note: I was tempted by a white and light green version of this bag on eBay. But since writing this, I knew this bag was already one of my least used of the year. So I decided not to get it though I really wanted it *pat myself on the back* lol.
4) Hermes Roulis 23 (1 day)
The one day I wore this Roulis bag was a day I went to the Hermes boutique. I tried “impressing” my SA with it since it’s kind of a rare bag (the Sombrero leather is super delicate and not commonly used). And yes my SA commented on the beautiful bag but I don’t think it got me anywhere lol. Overall the bag is quite heavy and I’m not a fan of it. I’m this close to selling it but we’ll see.
5) Hermes Constance 23 (1 day)
I got this vintage Constance (from 1978!) this year and I never thought I would ever buy one. But it was for a great deal so I thought I’d just add it to my collection to see how I like it. And I’m still kind of meh about it. The clasp is easier to use once I got used to it (but it’s still a two-handed operation). But the capacity is quite limited and I would have really like to be able to put my phone in the back pocket but it’s just a tad too tight to fit. I haven’t written a full review of it yet since I feel like one day isn’t enough for a fair review. But I’ll try to use it more next year and report back.
6) Hermes Lindy 30 (1 day)
This was my first Hermes love and even though I still love it I don’t use it. I find that it’s so heavy that my shoulder starts hurting if I wear it for long periods of time. It’s the Clemence leather that makes it so heavy. I would love to get a Lindy 26 in Swift leather (which I think would make the bag a lot lighter all around), but that’s a hard combo to get (at a reasonable price). We’ll see, but I’m keeping this one for now since I really do love the Lindy form factor. You can read my original Hermes Lindy review here.
7) Fendi By-The-Way Bag (2 days)
I love my Fendi By-The-Way bag and it’s the oldest bag in my collection. But I think my black small Loewe Puzzle bag has replaced it when it comes to a black crossbody bag. However I’ll never part with my one and only Fendi because I know how useful and under the radar it is.
8) Celine Trio (2 days)
I got this vintage Trio this year and I didn’t use it as much as I thought I would. I think I had a bit of nostalgia when buying this one. But I’m definitely keeping it and plan on using it more next year.
9) Loewe Mini Puzzle (2 days)
I kind of knew that when I got the mini Puzzle that I wouldn’t use it. When I wrote my Loewe Puzzle small vs mini review, I knew the mini was tiny. It’s so small and inconvenient to get in and out of. But I bought it for the sentimental value (the first Suna Fujita collab that I happened to be in Japan for). It’s a bit of a collector’s item but as long as they’re space in my closet, I’m keeping it.
10) Hermes Kelly 28 (2 days)
And last but not least, the Hermes Kelly 28 had been my “holy grail” bag for so long. I got it secondhand early this year and sadly just used it twice. It might be because I got a vintage version in Box leather, which makes it seem so formal. I think if I got it in Togo or Swift it would be more casual. Or I might not have used it as much because carrying a recognizable Hermes bag makes me feel more like a target. Either way I only used this bag twice and I definitely have to use it more considering how much I paid for it 😰.
