I had mentioned in my What I Bought in December post that I was on a tea-drinking kick after my almost-ulcer episode and that I bought tea from Bon Temps, a newish direct-to-consumer brand that uses a corn-based tea bag for their organic teas. I’m no tea expert so take this review with a grain of salt, but since I bought it I thought I might as well review it for those who are interested.

Unsponsored Polene Numero Un Nano Bag Review {Updated February 2022}
Who knew when I wrote about the first Polene numero un bag (reviewed here) that it would be such a hit. Also who knew that Polene would be as ubiquitous as it is now (I see them quite often)? Well I sold my original Polene numero un because I just found it too big for my needs. So I was super excited when I saw Polene release their numero un Nano. It was the same great style but so so so kayoot!

How are you guys holding up out there? As well as can be expected I hope. I’m doing fine, though I’m quickly putting on the “quarantine-15” (like freshman-15 but not as cute lol). Even though I was quite panicked about the novel coronavirus when it first came out, lately I’m not too anxious about it (though checking the news right when I wake up has not been helping). We are all doing what we can to slow the spread and of course we’re taking every precaution so that we don’t get it ourselves. But outside of that, there’s nothing we can really do. It’s out of our hands so instead I trust in faith (in a higher power, the universe, or humanity and the kindness of others), hope (this will definitely end and we’ll get out the other side like China), and love (for our family, friends, and fellow human). And of course supporting nonprofits is something we can do from home. Thank you to everyone who donated to my local food bank through Instagram for my birthday. When China was going through the peak of their epidemic I looked into donating to their Red Cross organization (and it wasn’t easy so I gave up tbh). Now that it has hit many other nations, any donation that can be spared would help. I’m also thinking of ways I can deliver supplies to friends and neighbors. It’s going to be a long haul staying at home all day, every day, and thinking about others is such a great way to get out of our own head sometimes.
But so far, week 1 into sheltering-in-place I’m doing alright. I’m lucky since I’m already a homebody who’s used to working from home and taking care of a kid 24/7. In fact now with my husband home I find a little more time for myself, which I’ve been using to try something new everyday. And that’s been great for my productivity since I finally listed some more things to sell on my closet sale page and darned the sock that I’ve been meaning to for almost a year now. Also started doing YouTube yoga and am loving Yoga with Adriene. And since my husband and I have worked together in the past for the Airstream biz, we’ve learned to deal with each other after seeing only each other for 24/7, 7 days a week. Ok I’ll stop since I don’t want to seem like I’m rubbing this in your face or anything.
But I hope in the meantime my usual parade of posts (mostly of reviews) brings you a sense of normalcy. Because if you’re like me, you want to read something other than coronavirus news. But if it’s too much frivolity during these serious times I get it too. We each cope in our own ways.
Oh and as a Netflix addict and HBO lover these are my top binged shows: (but take it with a grain of salt that I like foreign shows/films that lean more toward mystery/thriller):
Netflix:
Detective/mystery genre: Broadchurch, Babylon Berlin (German), Hinterland, La Mante (French), Mindhunter, The Chalet (French), Dark (German),
The comedies: Grace and Frankie, the End of the Fucking World, Schitt’s Creek, I’m Sorry, The Let Down (one of my top faves as a new mother), The Kominsky Method, Happyish, Nurse Jackie, Sisters (Australian series), Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,
Other: Stranger Things, The Crown, the AO, The Flowers, The Hookup Plan (French), Kingdom (Korean zombie series), Train to Busan (Korean zombie movie), Virgin River (for those who like cheesy Hallmark movies), Sex Education, Wanted (Australian series), Glow, Wanderlust (but that’s because I’ll watch anything with Toni Collette in it), Alias Grace, Tidelands, Erased (Japanese), Abstract the Art of Design, Grand Designs, The Umbrella Academy, Mad Men, Dead to Me
HBO: Basically every show they ever make
Amazon Prime: Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Kidding (with Jim Carrey), and currently I’m going through Grantchester
Any other suggestions for binge-watching?
Jennifer Fisher Jewelry and Salt Review
I’ve been a long time fan of Jennifer Fisher of Jennifer Fisher Jewelry. She’s the uber stylish mom and CEO that I would love to grow up to be someday lol. She also is an avid cook and I love all the healthy recipes she makes (which can be found on her jewelry website). I follow her through her personal Insta account, her cooking account, and her jewelry business account.
Read MoreCafune Stance Bag Review and comparison to the Tory Burch Lee Radziwill Bag (Updated January 2022)
So the Cafune bag has been on my radar for awhile. And when I signed up with ShopBop using a new email address, I qualified for 15% off my first order. So I let myself have a big birthday order to try everything that I had been eyeing for awhile. Unfortunately/fortunately I also impulsively added the Tory Burch Lee Radziwill bag to the order as well because it had caught my eye while I was doing some Insta-scouting of the Cafune bag.
Read MoreWeekend Update/Ramblings
Hello there, it’s been awhile since my last Weekend Update. We’ve been busy with daily life and last weekend (March 7th) we celebrated Emi’s first birthday. In true Hawaii-style we invited everyone we know in the area to the party and about 40 some people showed up. I did have some concerns about coronavirus (with 9 cases in my county at the time, 4 of which were community spread—now it’s 29 cases). But I really didn’t want fear to ruin her first birthday so we went ahead with it. Only time will tell if that was foolish. In the meantime I’ve been trying to do more social distancing though it hasn’t been complete. I did go to one yoga class this past Monday and even though no one was coughing, I still felt it was a bit like playing Russian Roulette since the virus can be spread even without symptoms. I’m probably not going to go back for awhile. And of course I’m taking the utmost care with handwashing and using hand sanitizer. I got lucky and purchased both big bottles from Amazon in February as well as fancy ones from Touchland during their Black Friday sale. Oh and I should mention that I’m sorry if my earlier Weekend Update posts sounded panicky—no this is not the 1918 flu pandemic. And for the most part, the general population will be fine. Yes social distancing will suck, but it’s necessary to mitigate the spread (flatten the curve, amirite). Thank goodness for the internet no? Besides I do some of my best interactions over the interwebs (as evidenced by this blog). Anyway I hope you and your family pull through this time as best as possible. And for those who pulled their money out in time, the stocks are on super sale (and I’ve been very slowly repurchasing what I sold off, but you might want to wait since I’m not sure when it’s going to bottom out).
In other news, I’ve been stress buying a lot of things online under the guise that it’s my birthday and I’m going to buy myself a birthday bag. I haven’t actually committed to anything and have just returned a bunch of stuff (including the Celine mini in the photo above—I couldn’t deal with the bright blue color). You’ll see it all when I post my “what I bought (and returned) in March” post. But I recognize the consumption problem and am trying to be more mindful about online purchases (and yet I still don’t have a bday present for myself… lol). And this year due to coronavirus I canceled the celebration of my bday with friends. So I quietly celebrated on Friday with my husband and daughter and still had a grand ‘ole time :)
The Good Fill Review
I found The Good Fill on Instagram and have been eyeing them for awhile, but since I still had a lot of Plaine Products left in my stash I decided to hold off. But now that I finally finished up some bottles, I decided to let myself try them out. But first, if you’re not familiar with The Good Fill, they are a zero-waste bulk/refill store based in Nashville (by the way I looove Nashville and would totally live there if not for my whole social support system being out on the West Coast lol). They’re relatively new to the scene but what I love about them is that they will ship products in either glass containers (which of course you pay a little more for) or if you already have containers, they will ship their products in refillable plastic pouches that you ship back via their fully compostable mailer (the first time I’ve ever seen one and really all companies should be using this). They request that you ship the plastic pouches back within 3 weeks time (maybe so that the pouches can be cleaned promptly) so I put my extra liquid in a mason jar to store for the time being.
As you can see I ordered two conditioners, the dish soap, their all purpose cleaner and their lotion. So how were their products? The conditioners were alright and nothing fancy. It’s a lot like the Plaine Products one, not super thick or luxurious but gets the job done (probably not best for thick hair that needs a lot of conditioning). The lotion is also pretty standard and not super thick. It’s a great overall moisturizer but I do need some extra lotion for my eczema areas. I ordered the sweetpea scent but I’m not a fan (it smells very Bath and Bodyworks to me) so I’ll probably go with unscented next time. The all purpose cleaner is very vinegary smelling and not favored by my husband. I’ll probably make my own formula after I use this up. And the dish soap was great and just as good as anything off the shelf in your grocery store. So to sum it all up, I would say that their products are great standard products but aren’t “extra” in any way.
Some other things I liked about their system:
-all shipping materials were paper-based, even the tape used for the box
-squeeze pouch makes it super easy to refill even skinny neck bottles like the one above.
-the glass bottles and plastic accessories are all high-quality and work well. They should last for years and years.
Anyway I very much look forward to trying their other products as I slowly convert my lifestyle to a zero waste one. Ideally of course I would have a local zero waste store to refill my products instead of wasting carbon and energy with the back and forth shipping. But until that happens (or maybe until I build one? lol just kidding) I’m happy to support a small business in Nashville trying to further the zero waste movement!
P.S. A tornado hit Nashville last week and they were luckily spared, but they have instrumental in helping their community rebuild. If you’d like to help them, please support them with your purchases (and no this isn’t a sponsored or gifted post—I purchased everything with my own moneys).
St. Agni Paris Woven Mule Review {Updated May 2023}
I purchased a pair of non-woven leather mules from St. Agni via the RealReal last year (review of those here). But the ones I really wanted were the Paris Woven Mule that you see everywhere on Instagram. So when they popped up on the RealReal I snapped them up right away. St. Agni makes quality shoes and getting them half off is extra sweet (especially if they’re only lightly worn like this pair).
Read MoreEverlane Review: The Straight Leg Crop + Giveaway {Closed}
I originally purchased Everlane’s Straight Leg Crop pants while I was still pregnant last year because I was so excited to try these pants when they first came out. But sadly, due to the fibroids they sat in my closet untouched. So I was beyond thrilled to find that I could fit into them a couple months post fibroid surgery. And man oh man, they were worth the wait lol.
Read MoreWhat I've Been Eyeing on Fashionphile
This one is for the bag ladies. Please skip if you think I waste my money on bags >.<
When I snatched up a really good deal on the Celine mini belt bag recently, some of you guys on Instagram wanted to know how I find such great deals.
Well I stalk Fashionphile a lot, and more so recently since I deleted TRR (the RealReal) off my phone. It’s probably not the best way to pass the time (especially for my wallet) but I’ve been feeling under the weather and the whole coronavirus thing has given me some low-level anxiety. So Fashionphile has been my distraction. And since I don’t want all my hours spent on the site to go to waste, I thought I’d share some of my recent finds with you guys. Let’s all take a mental break and let’s ooh and ahh over these lovely bags lol.
Celine Small Trio: Retails for $1100, on Fashionphile for $430. There’s definitely some corner wear on this but it can’t be seen when worn and this is such a classic bag!
Celine Seau Sangle in Redwood: Retails for $2900, on Fashionphile for $905. This one is a tad beat-up (hence the low price), but there’s still plenty of life left in it. I reviewed this bag here, but ended up selling it because I found it too big for my needs. Now that I’m a mom, I slightly regret that decision but oh well lol.
Balenciaga Part-Time Bag in Cumin: Retails for $2000, on Fashionphile for $390. Balenciaga motorcycle bags were my first love in high-end bags and they hold a special place in my heart. But I would never buy them new, especially when you can get deals like this on Fashionphile.
Chanel 2.55 Reissue Flap 227: Retails for $6000+, on Fashionphile for $2715. I’ve always loved the look of the 2.55 Reissue (the ones without the interlocking C’s) and someday I will definitely buy myself one (most likely used). But for now, I’ll just admire them from afar because really, where would I be carrying this to?
Celine Strap Wallet: Retails for $810, on Fashionphile for $420. I have this wallet, except in the opposite colorway (mostly gray with the blue strap), and I loooove it. I used to shop around for wallets but not anymore. This is both beautiful and functional, without being too flashy. Also the leather is pretty durable! I purchased mine new for $750, so I consider this quite a deal.
Thanks for indulging me guys. Regularly scheduled reviews will be back after this lol.
What I Bought, Returned, and Sold in February
What I Bought (and Kept)
Home Master Reverse Osmosis Water Filter: I’ve been wanting a reverse osmosis water filter ever since reading about PFOA in our water systems. There’s no real way to remove this chemical but filtering via reverse osmosis may be one of the only ways to do so. I purchased this off of Amazon but chose this brand because they’re made in the USA with excellent customer service (according to reviews, luckily we were able to install it with no hiccups).
Jenni Kayne Silk top from the RealReal: It was in my what I’m eyeing from TRR post and I ended up buying it for myself lol, but no regrets!
Everlane Perform leggings in medium: In my review I told y’all why I purchased these.
A bunch of thrifted clothes from Crossroads, which came out to $0 since I had a ton of credit. I’ve pretty much worn the Anthropologie sweatshirt 5 times a week since I got it and is so far the best purchase of the bunch lol. I wore the theory dress to a friend’s birthday and the Michael stars top about 3 times. I sold the Frame top on the RealReal (it was a tad too small) for $25 net credit so that was a wash. I look forward to incorporating the rest to my current wardrobe!
What I was Gifted
Everlane Alpaca Cardigan: Since Everlane changed their affiliate system—you have to fill out a tedious form every time letting them know how much you’re “worth” (aka how much money you make for them)—I’m less inclined to review gifted items. But I just wanted to try out the process at least once. And I guess I proved my worth since I was able to get the alpaca cardigan I asked for. But tbh it came so late in the winter season for Cali that I’ve only worn it a handful of times. Not sure if I’m going to do a review of it, but if you’re interested let me know and I can :)
Last Brand French Linen sheets: This is a new collaboration for me. I guess my two unsponsored posts for the brand garnered enough clicks, so they offered to send me gifted items to review. I chose their Oeko-tex linen sheets because I’ve been hearing about the wonder of linen bed sheets for a long time. I’ve been quite impressed with LB’s quality for the value and look forward to reviewing these soon.
What I (Bought and) Returned:
Ulla Johnson jumpsuit, sweater, and shoes from the RealReal (TRR): As much as I love UJ stuff, I needed to slow my roll on accumulating her stuff. I also did a TRR detox and deleted the app off my phone.
Jenni Kayne mules: I know I’m crazy because I already did a review of them. But one of you guys suggested trying them used. And they were totally right because it was a lot more comfortable and now I see why so many women love them. BUT, they still don’t have a padded insole, and now that I’m used to the loveliness that is St. Agni mules, I can’t go back lol.
Everlane Leather Slip-on (pictured below): These reminded me so much of TOMS shoes, which I looooved in my 20s. I would say these are pretty comfortable, even for those with a wide-ish foot like myself. But they didn’t spark any excitement in me and I didn’t really need another pair of black leather shoes, so I sent them back.
I finally tried some things on my wishlist from years ago as a birthday gift to myself. Learning my lesson from the Jenni Kayne mules (I eyed them for years, finally bit the bullet and didn’t really like them once I tried them out) I decided to try everything on my Shopbop wishlist at one time so I can either love ‘em or get over ‘em. Also this way it would be just one big shipment and one return shipment. I tried the agolde Riley jeans that I had been eyeing for almost 2 years, and glad I finally did because they were a big nope. I also tried this Ulla Johnson sweatshirt that I’d been eyeing since last year. I loved the big puffy sleeves but I don’t think I could walk down the street in it and take myself seriously. I keep seeing puffy sleeves everywhere in stores but I don’t know if its because I’m drawn to them or if it’s seriously a trend that’s just going to keep getting bigger (in which case I wonder if I would feel confident enough to pull them off at a later date). I also let myself try out the Cafune Stance bag and the Tory Burch Lee Radziwill bag for comparison. The Cafune bag has been on my radar for awhile, but when I saw the Tory Burch one I impulsively added it to my cart to try it out. Anyway I’ll talk more about both of these in a future review.
What I Sold/Selling
notPerfectLinen skirt: (sold) I love the idea of a romantic linen skirt like this nPL skirt (reviewed here) but I just don’t reach for it very often. I’m just much more of a linen pants kind of person.
Frame Denim Review
I discovered Frame denim way before I started blogging and reviewing clothes. So it never occurred to me to review them even though I do occasionally buy new-to-me (aka secondhand) Frame jeans. But since I had a reader who was interested, plus a couple Insta people commenting on them, I decided to talk about their jeans.
Read MoreWeekend Update/Ramblings
I finally deleted the RealReal off my phone and feel like I’ve at least kicked one bad addiction out of my life. I love TRR, and it really is a great place to find good used stuff. But purchasing too much from any place is no bueno. Now if I can only easily eliminate other addictions like sugar, screen time (esp Insta).
Also I know it’s already February and you’re still looking at the same old blog. I’m trying to work on a new design and a new page but it’s a lot of tech work that I’m not usually used to doing. I may have to take a quick hiatus from writing to get it all done, so we’ll see. But I do have quite a few reviews already scheduled so maybe I can get it done in the meantime.
I repurchased the mules from Jenni Kayne this month, but this time used from The RealReal (this was before I deleted the app off my phone— you see this is why I needed to delete it). I decided to take a reader’s suggestion of trying them used and already broken in for me. And big news they were waaaay more comfortable. Something I could see myself keeping and wearing… if it had more insole padding. So yep that was a deal breaker for me. I guess the really comfy St. Agni mules have spoiled me. Plus how many mules can one person own (ok I know theoretically a lot, but not a blogger who’s trying to consume more ethically).
Do you guys want to hear about coronavirus/COVID-19? Probably not, but I’m still following it everyday. I think it’s the epidemiology nerd in me. Anyway a fact that you may not have been aware of: It can spread through feces and about 10% of infected people have nausea and stomach issues (it’s not always respiratory though that’s how most people get it) {and I have my personal theory of that’s why cruise ships are especially vulnerable—like outbreaks of norovirus but this is just an amateur talking}. I found this early study featured in the NYT especially interesting. Also as an amatuer personal finance person I decided to take some money off the table so to speak. I had some great gains in my ETF funds so I cashed out and I’m waiting for the dip to rebuy (I make a note of what I sold it for and what I want to rebuy at). I truly believe with manufacturing crippled in China, there’s going to be a dip. We are all interconnected now and there’s no way any economy is going to grow with a pandemic, no matter how “mild.” Anyway this is just me and I’m no financial expert. These are just my opinions so please don’t @ me if the US stocks go bonanza and you took your money out because of this post.
Kosas Review: The Tinted Face Oil and Wet Lip Oil Gloss
As I mentioned in my December What I Bought post, I decided to try out this Kosas Tinted Face Oil because I was looking for a lighter colored foundation for the winter time (I usually use the Suntegrity 5-in-1 tinted sunscreen for the summer). I read about Kosas, a clean beauty line on several blogs and definitely wanted to try it out because of the rave reviews. Well I’m just going to let you know it did not work for me at all.
Read MoreEverlane Perform Legging Review (one c/o, others not) and Giveaway! {Closed}
As you can see from the “c/o” in the title that I was gifted Everlane’s Perform Legging. But I don’t know what I was thinking (or maybe it was wishful thinking lol) when I asked for a small. I’m a size 4/6 on the bottom, or usually a 28 in jeans, so asking for a size small isn’t a stretch, except these small leggings definitely needed to stretch a ton to fit. And as you can see in the first photo below, they do fit. But it’s tiiiight, and not in a good way (though I’m sure you can’t tell from the pic, and it actually makes my legs look skinnier). So I decided to try out both their medium in the regular length and the ankle length. Because guys…these leggings are good.
Read MoreWhy I Bought The Ridiculously Expensive Cartier Love Bracelet {Updated September 2024}
You see them everywhere on Insta, you know what I’m talking about: that basic blogger bracelet, the Cartier Love bracelet. Whoever does Cartier influencer marketing should get a raise for doing such a great job of infiltrating the minds of women to the point where they aspire to get a gold bracelet that was inspired by chastity belts used by husbands to “lock-up” their wives. It’s a modern day handcuff to show that you’re taken. Or really, it’s just the basic bitches’ bracelet. And now I’m one of ‘em.

Ok ok, I know I just said I have too many totes. But when I earned enough credit through my referral link (thank you so much you guys for your support of this blog!), I just had to try out Quince’s Italian Tote. But don’t worry I’m not accumulating more bags because I plan to give this to a friend. And she’ll be thrilled because guys, this is a great tote.
Read MoreWeekend Update/Ramblings
Hi guys! Wow it’s been awhile since my last weekend update post. I guess when life is smooth sailing I’m less likely to vent my feelings here on these weekend posts. In a sense, life is a little more “boring” but I’m so grateful for it. Grateful that we’re all healthy.
Anyway, closet-wise I’ve been a little bit of a runaway train lately. I think now that I finally feel like I’ve got my body back, I’m more excited about clothes these days. If you follow my Insta, you know I’ve been on a bit of a secondhand Ulla Johnson buying spree. It started with one top from ebay, followed by two sweaters, a jumpsuit and shoes from the RealReal (TRR). I’m returning one sweater, the jumpsuit and shoes because I realize I’m definitely buying too much. But I’m just so in love with the girly silhouettes and the quirkiness of her clothes. I feel like it helps spice up my mostly basic wardrobe. I’ll be writing a review of all the UJ things I’ve tried in the near future. But still, I need to go back to my more mindful consumption ways because even though I’m buying used, I’m not buying consciously. I realize I also need to break my TRR habit.
And you probably don’t want to be hearing this on a style blog, but I’ve been following the coronavirus news like a hawk lately. It’s the combo of being a public health/epidemiology grad and the fact that I have a baby with a slight cold that has made me hyper aware of this pandemic. My mom, who was planning to come to Cali in March has postponed her trip because of it (she’s of the camp better safe than sorry). I’m glad the US limited air travel to/from China when they did. At first I was thinking that was quite extreme but now I see that it was the right thing to do because this virus’ infectivity is quite high. Is this the next big outbreak since the 1918 flu pandemic?
But any-who here are some articles I found interesting to take your mind off all the doom and gloom:
Leah talks about why ebay is still her favorite thrift site here. I’m in total agreement and find that when buying, eBay tends to be the cheaper option and when selling, it has the least fees.
Jamie spends some time thinking about her museum pieces here. I definitely have some of those including my bags, vintage Chanel blazers, and some shoes. But I also have other sentimental pieces that I can’t get rid of like my 7th grade track jacket with my name embroidered on it, my 9th grade black pants from Japan (my first adult-like pair of pants) that I will probably never fit into again, and my rag & bone military blazer that was my first expensive piece of clothing I purchased new. I think it’s ok to have a handful of these sentimental pieces as long as it doesn’t get out of control.
And for some personal finance inspo and motivation, read Luxe’s post here about changing your money mind-set. It definitely helped me see money in a new light.
Cuyana Review: Recycled Cashmere Crewneck Sweater
It’s been almost a year since my last Cuyana review (which was of their alpaca sweater here) even though I’ve done a lot of Cuyana reviews in the past (all of them here). I generally like Cuyana’s stuff even though it can be quite pricey, including this recycled cashmere crewneck sweater that goes for $255. I know, it’s a lot.
Read MoreWhat I Bought in January
I bought some of these things in December but since I purchased them after my “What I Bought in December” post they are appearing here. Also you’ll notice I added a couple new sections. One is called “What I Returned”. I’m going to try to hold myself accountable for wasted shipping. As I mentioned in my New Year’s post, I plan to pay a carbon tax at the end of the year. I know it’s better not to ship things back and forth (which I’ll also try to do less), but the least I can do is pay a carbon tax that’ll fund ways to reduce carbon overall. Another new section I’ve added is called “What I’m Selling/Sold”. Like I said before, I’m going to try to find a way to support my family with what I love doing (writing this blog). So I’m going to renew my efforts over on the Closet Sale page. I’ll be selling some of my beloved items along with other items I’ve reviewed. Any items that were gifts by the brand is disclosed. In the past I’ve sold my stuff through ebay, but I wanted to give you guys first dibs (and thanks for supporting me again through my closet sale lol)!
What I Bought
Secondhand Frame Jeans and Veronica Beard Tee from the RealReal: In December, I purchased the exact same pair of my favorite jeans from Frame as a form of insurance (review of it coming soo). I loooove my old pair so much and it’s beginning to show. Plus it was only $25 on TRR! I added the Veronica Beard tee because I’ve been curious of the brand but so far I’m not particularly impressed.
Victoria Beckham AB Primer: reviewed it here.
Wunderkin Hair Bows (for Emi): We got some of these handmade bows from a friend for Christmas. And they were so cute I went and bought more. These bows have a lifetime guarantee (they’ll fix ones that get undone). Also I’m happy to support a woman-made, USA-made small business.
Vintage Chanel wool skirt suit (from the RealReal): I talked about it here
Ulla Johnson cotton top (from eBay): pictured up top
St. Agni Paris woven leather mules (from the RealReal): also in the photo up top
Refills for conditioner, body lotion, and other zero waste body products from The Good Fill
What I Was Gifted
Everlane Perform Leggings: I’ll go into it in my review but let’s just say I might have been a tad too optimistic when I asked for a size small in these…because I’m not. I purchased a pair in medium ankle length myself (with referral credit so thank you again and always for your support of this blog).
What I Returned
Cuyana Recycled Cashmere sweater: I did like the sweater but I also had a similar one from Everlane (my fave: the waffle cashmere crew) and I don’t need two. Better to make do with what I have than buy new, right? I do plan to do a full review of this in a later post.
Everlane Cheeky Jeans: Even though I ordered these in the shorter ankle length, the fit through the butt and hips were weird. I find that I don’t really fit into Everlane jeans and I think I’m going to either stick with my current collection of 4 jeans, or purchase them in person from a thrift store. Also I’m not planning on reviewing these jeans so let me know if you have any questions about them here.
Janessa Leone wool hat from the RealReal (their current selection here): Wore it in this review here, but decided not to keep it because it was a tad too small. Also not doing a review on this.
Louis Vuitton Pallas from Fashionphile: featured it in my Insta but in the end I decided not to keep it because I didn’t love love it right away (not planning a review of this). Plus I just don’t think I’m a monogram kind of bag lady.
What I’m Selling or Sold
(selling over on my Closet Sale Page)
Helmut Lang Jacket: I’ve loved this jacket for years but I have to admit it’s just too small for my shoulders now. I’ve given up the idea that I’ll somehow get back to the same size that I was in my 20s.
Everlane Mini Tote Bag (sold): Love this bag but I have too many small bags.
Everlane Soft Tote: I also have too many totes so letting go of this one (tbh if I didn’t already have the Celine cabas I would probably keep this one).
Mansur Gavriel Mini Ocean tote (sold): Like I said, too many small bags.
