Everlane Reviews
Wow it’s been quite awhile and I’ve come a long way since my Everlane addict days where I reviewed Everlane allll the time (see my collection of past Everlane reviews here—where the bulk of the reviews are items that aren’t made anymore). Well it looks like I’ll be doing one Everlane review a year since I only buy items from them when I need to fill a wardrobe gap (see my last 2021 Everlane review here—when I was looking for jeans and jean shorts). And too bad that Everlane’s product churn is so fast that many of their items are not part of their continuous stock, thus even if I talk about it now (months after I purchase it) you won’t be able to find it on their website. But on the rare occasions they bring the item back, this review will be here for reference.
Instead of writing one review for every Everlane item I’ve tried so far this year, I decided to lump them all into one. Yes, I’m still doing Everlane reviews in 2021 but that’s because I’m trying to use up my referral credit that I’ve earned with them in the past (with the exception of one pair of jeans-but really I’ve earned those jeans with all my work since 2017). So I’ve been trying things that I might like and then returning the ones that I don’t. And I might as well write about them here 🤷🏻♀️(especially if these reviews help inform your purchasing decisions).
No, this Everlane review (the first in almost a year) is not an April Fool’s joke. Though I might be a fool to give Everlane a second chance. But like I said, I plan to use up the rest of my store credit and then take it from there. Anyway, the first thing I purchased with credit since my long hiatus from Everlane was this leather sling. I’ve been looking for a slim, sling-like bag for awhile since sometimes you just need the essentials and then both hands to wrangle a toddler. And this leather sling from Everlane looked like just the thing. So what did I think of it?
It’s been awhile since a pair of pants got so much attention over on social media. And I agree, these pants are the best thing to come from Everlane in awhile. I mean I still love my Everlane straight leg crop, but these slim leg crops are even better. If the two were siblings, the slim leg crop is my younger, favorite child (lol): they’re both wonderful and I’ll try to give them equal attention but one is clearly the favorite.
I originally purchased Everlane’s Straight Leg Crop pants while I was still pregnant last year because I was so excited to try these pants when they first came out. But sadly, due to the fibroids they sat in my closet untouched. So I was beyond thrilled to find that I could fit into them a couple months post fibroid surgery. And man oh man, they were worth the wait lol.
As you can see from the “c/o” in the title that I was gifted Everlane’s Perform Legging. But I don’t know what I was thinking (or maybe it was wishful thinking lol) when I asked for a small. I’m a size 4/6 on the bottom, or usually a 28 in jeans, so asking for a size small isn’t a stretch, except these small leggings definitely needed to stretch a ton to fit. And as you can see in the first photo below, they do fit. But it’s tiiiight, and not in a good way (though I’m sure you can’t tell from the pic, and it actually makes my legs look skinnier). So I decided to try out both their medium in the regular length and the ankle length. Because guys…these leggings are good.
My first Everlane review of the year folks and it’s for a gift I received in December. I apologize for the delay since now you’re only left with pastel baby colors (baby blue or baby pink) if you’re interested in getting this ReNew Traveler Tote. Not that there’s anything wrong with pastel colors, but the “toasted coconut” color really is a lovely neutral tan color. Hopefully they re-release this bag in better colors in the future because guys…this is a really great bag.
If you’ve been following this blog for awhile you know that I’ve reviewed a lot of different totes from several brands. And one of my most popular reviews is the one I did comparing the Madewell Transport tote to Cuyana’s Classic tote. I’ve also reviewed Mansur Gavriel’s tote and Everlane’s Day Market Tote. On the higher end of the spectrum (in terms of price), I’ve also reviewed the Goyard St. Louis Tote and the Celine Small Cabas Phantom. So you can say I’m totes a tote expert lol.
The older I get, the fonder I get of cardigans. I was never really a cardigan person before (preferring sweaters and sweatshirts), but now that I’m closer to 40 than 30, I really love cardigans. It’s no wonder cardigans are typically favored by grandmas.
One of my most worn jackets from Everlane is their modern utility jacket because not only does it look great but the 4 pockets are super useful (especially when I was doing the Airstream business and nowadays when walking the dogs). So when Everlane asked if I wanted to try anything for August, I was immediately drawn to their denim chore jacket because of the 4 pockets.
If you’re a long time reader, you know this blog was built on Everlane reviews (see the extensive but not updated list here). So I was surprised to see that I had yet to do an Everlane review for 2023, but then again I hadn’t purchased anything from them until just recently. In the last couple of months I got the Wide Leg Dream Pants (on eBay), the Organic Cotton Striped Tee Dress (from Crossroads—a thrift shop), and the Felted Merino Wool Half-zip (on the Everlane website during their F&F sale).
