I first reviewed Kowtow three years ago and I was impressed with the quality of this fairtrade brand out of New Zealand that produced most of their clothes with organic cotton. And since then I’ve picked up a couple more items from Kowtow via The RealReal that I really like so I thought I’d do a quick review of them here.

Quince Review: All Things Linen [Updated November 2024]
One of the first things I tried from Quince was their linen bedding and I was (and still am) a huge fan. Since then I’ve tried a multitude of their linen items because I love linen and Quince linen is quite good. How good you ask? Well, as a lightweight linen (at 160gsm) it ranks just below the slow fashion linen brands from Lithuania (NotPerfectLinen and LinenFox) but better than many other conventional brands that price their linen products higher (Ilana Kohn, Tradlands, etc.). You can peek my Ethical Linen Guide here. So without further ado, here’s what I think of the linen things I’ve tried from Quince:

At the end of last year, after trying the Ganni loafers from the RealReal that were too small, I pre-ordered these chunky loafers from Alohas. I’ve seen them around on Instagram and I have to say their ads got me. Also NGL, their name Alohas got my attention since I’m from Hawaii (sadly it has nothing to do with Hawaii and this is a Spanish brand that makes all their items ethically in Spain).
Read MorePepper Bra Review: The Lift Up Bra
After trying out the Mesh All You, the Classic All You, and the Limitless Wirefree bras from Pepper (my first Pepper bra review here), I decided to try out their Lift Up bra, ie their version of the push-up bra. As I mentioned in my first Pepper review, I had been wearing mostly push-up bras before this because I’ve always been self-conscious of my bust size. But I have to admit that after wearing the All You bras (my favorite being the Classic for the comfort though it’s not as supportive) I’ve gotten used to my chest size and don’t feel the need to give it a boost. But for the sake of experimentation and for those days that I feel like being boosted, I decided to go for the Lift Up.
Read MoreRudy Jude Day Blouse Review
I tried to go to the Rudy Jude store twice, on the two separate occasions I was in LA, and sadly the store was closed both times. I think fate was telling me not to be tempted with their high-priced (but ethically made) clothing. Well lucky for me, I happened to be on Insta when Helen decided to sell her white day blouse (just the item I had been wanting). So what did I think of the insta-famous Rudy Jude Day Blouse?

One of my goals this year as part of #LessNewin2022 is to write more posts about items I already own and less reviews of new stuff. So today I’ll be doing a little roundup of my current shirt collection and how they’ve worn over the years. The following are my five most worn shirt brands:
Read MoreThe Row Review: Cashmere Sweater
I’ve always thought of the brand The Row by the Olsen twins as a line of ridiculously priced basics. And even though I like basics (and even the Olsen twins’ fashion sense) I never thought about buying anything from them until I read this article by The Cut (which I found thanks to Cathy from Feather Factor). When I read the part about an ultra wealthy women buying 30 cashmere crewnecks (spending about $30k on them) and the author calling their sweaters “perfect,” I had to find out what all the hype was about. And well, now that I’ve tried this one I have to say I get it.
Read MoreThe Curated Review: The Classic Shoulder Bag and Classic Teddy Jacket
So I actually ordered both the Classic Shoulder Bag and Classic Teddy Jacket from The Curated in 2020 when I was still in Hawaii. Both were sent to Hawaii while we were there, but I obviously couldn’t wear the Teddy Jacket. And tbh I wasn’t a fan of the Classic Shoulder Bag (more on this below), so I left them in Hawaii when I couldn’t fit them into our already seam-busting suitcases. Well I finally had my mom ship both to me in California, and now I remember why I left them in Hawaii (and forgot about them 🙈) lol.
Read MoreUnsponsored Birdies Shoes Review: The Swan
As I mentioned in my What I Bought in December post, these Birdies shoes were my last purchase of the year. We were in LA and browsing Abbot Kinney (a street with a bunch of DTC brands like Everlane, Cuyana, All Birds, nadaam, etc.) when I popped into the Birdies store just to try it on. Were these shoes really as comfortable as all those Instagram ads promised they would be?

Since my last Quince round-up was pretty popular, I thought I’d continue the series with my next “batch” of Quince items. Thank you again for all those who shopped through my referral link (for $20 off your first purchase—they upped it from $10 this year)! It’s because of you guys that I’m able to try all these things from Quince on credit.

As I mentioned in my “What I Bought in November” post, I finally purchased this Classic Coat from The Curated after eyeing it for over two years! I think I first found them through other bloggers (see Andrea in her Classic Coat here and Lee’s review here). But I didn’t want to commit to the purchase of a winter coat while my body was still changing through pregnancy (two years ago) and then last year we were in Hawaii for the winter. But this year, I finally decided it was time and oh boy, I was not disappointed and yes it does live up to the hype!
Read MoreUnsponsored Pepper Bra Review {Updated April 2022}
As I mentioned in last week’s post, I purchased a Pepper bra and loved it so much I wanted to purchase more. Well since last week I bought another one and have officially retired all other bras to the emergency pile. And am now only going to wear Pepper bras. Yep they’re that good!

Much like my Everlane review, I decided to do one big collective review of all the things I’ve tried from Quince in the last year. There are some hits and misses and since I’ve tried so many of their items I hope you might find some of my opinions here useful. Also I wanted to note that I was able to try all these things for free thanks to all of you guys who’ve used my referral link to purchase (you get $10 off your first purchase and I also get $10 off my next purchase).
Read MoreOffOn Clothing Review: The Belle Dress (Empire Waist Raglan Sleeve Dress)
I had heard of OffOn Clothing for awhile now since they’re a favorite in the ethical fashion Insta world. But none of their items really called to me until I saw this Belle Dress several months ago. So for those of you who requested an OffOn Clothing review, this one’s for you!

Ok so this review is only a couple months late since I purchased this back in May. But since I’ve slowed down my reviews to once a week, reviews are out later than usual. Luckily I don’t review fast fashion brands (or fast fashion adjacent) because at this pace, the items would be gone by the time my review comes out for most conventional brands. As it stands, Two Days Off is as intentional as it gets. If you’re not familiar with TDO you can find more about them in my first review of them here. And since then I’ve done quite a few more which you can find here.
Read MoreIlana Kohn Review: The Mabel Jacket
If you’ve read my What I Bought in May post, you already know that I’ve returned this Mabel jacket from Ilana Kohn. But I thought I would write this quick review here for those who are interested in this jacket (still selling at the Garmentory) or it’s close cousin the Park Jacket still selling at IlanaKohn.com. And sometimes the Mabel jacket will show up time to time on the RealReal (their current selection of Ilana Kohn jackets here), which is where I found this one.

For the first six years of my life I had to wear a uniform everyday for school (an all-girls Episcopalian school) and I hated it. I bring this all up because part of that school uniform was the requirement of wearing plain white Keds. Now I have nothing against Keds now (though tbh I haven’t purchased a pair of Keds since elementary school), but back then I was so sick of them. Yet I have to begrudgingly admit, they are pretty darn comfortable sneakers (and maybe also the reason why I’ve always been so intolerant of uncomfortable shoes). Well this long-winding story was just to illustrate that these Mary Jane shoes from Small Lot Co feel like a comfortable pair of Keds but have 10x the style factor IMHO.
Read MoreBeklina Review: The Ribbed Open Toe Clog
After writing up my review for the Beklina Matisse Criss Cross Platforms, I ended up purchasing these Ribbed Open Toe Clogs in both black and buff (as I mentioned at the end of that review). Well it’s been over 5 months since I got these shoes so it was about time I wrote up a review. If you follow me on Insta, you see that I wear these shoes a lot (see the compilation above lol). I loooove how they look and how comfortable they are, and they’ve quickly become my go-to shoes.

A couple months ago I wrote up a review of the Agolde 90’s jeans, and ever since then I’ve been on a quest for the perfect mom jeans (the problem with the Agolde ones were that they were a tad too small and even though I tried a size up, they still didn’t fit right. You can read all about it in my update in the Agolde jeans review). So I recently decided to try the Levi’s Ribcage Straight Ankle Jeans as a more affordable alternative to the Agolde jeans.

If you can’t already tell by now when I love a brand, I loooove them and have to try almost everything from them. It’s happened before with Everlane and Elizabeth Suzann, and I can tell it’s now happening with Two Days Off. So far I’ve reviewed two dresses and a top, but this will be my first review of a bottom. I saw this Safia Midi skirt on Gina and knew that this would be next on my list. I love the quality of their linen (which I’ve ranked as number one on my list of linen from ethical brands), so I knew I wanted to try it in this sleek looking midi skirt.
