I wrote a similar top ten post for 2021 and it was quite popular (in fact it was in the top 15 posts of 2022 lol) so I thought I’d do it again for this year. I also like to see how the list changes year over year because it makes me see what people are interested in reading on the blog. So thank you to all of you guys who take the time to read the blog and without further ado, here are my top ten posts as of 2022:
1) Cartier Love Bracelet Review: This was the number two overall read post in 2021 and it bumped up to number one for the last year with a 148% increase in readership. I guess people still want to know, is it worth it? And I would still say yes, as long as you’re consistently wearing it. Also I should note that last year a friend who has the regular-sized Love bracelet (and never took it off) said the screws were starting to loosen around year five. I’m heading into my fourth year of ownership for my own small-sized Love bracelet and I take it off and on fairly frequently. My screw and hinge are still good but will of course let you know if that changes.
2) Celine Nano Belt Bag vs. Micro Belt Bag Review: I guess the love of the Celine Belt bag is still going strong, even though this post fell down to number two. I still have and love my Celine Nano Belt even though I’m currently obsessed with my new-to-me Celine Tabou right now.
3) Hermes Evelyne III PM Review: New on the top ten, and coming in hot at the number three position, is this Hermes Evelyne review, which I wrote in April of last year. Is the Evelyne a really popular bag? Or is it because I tell the truth that I actually don’t like it? See it in “The Worst” section of my last post.
4) My Quince Reviews: So technically this isn’t just one post, but this aggregate of Quince reviews was my top collection of reviews. I’ve reviewed a lot of Quince items (some very good, some bad, and most decent) so it’s no wonder this page is in my top five.
5) Polene Beri Bag Review: This review is also new to the top ten list (though last year my review of the Polene Numero Un Nano and Numero Un came in 8 and 10 respectively). I guess the interest in Polene is still going strong, and I can see why with their unique designs and reasonable price point. I’m eyeing the Tonca myself but I feel like since its the same size as the Beri, I might not use the Tonca as much.
6) My Purse Collection Ranked in 2022: This was another new post from last year and it made it on this year’s top ten list because a purse ranking is always fun. Since I’ve already sold and bought a couple bags since then, I might have to do another ranking for 2023.
7) Pepper Bra Review: I still like my Pepper bras, but I would say that after having worn the Classic All You bra constantly over this past year it’s quite worn out and I probably will have to replace it soon. The Mesh All You bras are still going strong but it might be because I have two that I rotate between. Anyway a one year life span for a bra seems short to me but maybe that’s just how it is?
8) Celine Small Cabas Phantom Review: There is still love for the Celine Cabas though it has fell this year (from the number 5 spot last year). As for me, I sold this awhile ago (because it was so heavy) and use my Quince Leather Tote (that I review briefly in this Quince bags review) daily. I prefer the immensely cheaper Quince tote because of its great interior organization, its relative lightness (in terms of weight), and the fact that I can beat it up without remorse.
9) Birdies Shoe Review: I’m happy to see this shoe review made it on the top ten list. I really adore my Swan shoes for both its comfort and style (though it’s highly unpractical for the stormy weather we’re having these days—yet I still wore it to go wine tasting in the rain). I wore it several times to some holiday outings and plan to keep doing so for years to come.
10) Augustinus Bader Rich Cream Review: And last but not least, this classic AB review brings up the end of the list (falling from the number three spot since last year). I am still an AB Rich Cream addict, though I’m less of a fan of their other product lines. You can see all my Augustinus Bader Reviews here.
And that’s my top ten! I’m happy to see that the list has changed quite a bit since the last time I wrote this post, with at least half of the posts being new for 2022. It makes me glad to see that I can still write posts people are interested in (and that what I write is still relevant lol). And even though the bulk of my top posts are bag reviews, I’m also relieved to see that there’s some variety as well. But every year I do this I see that my “popular” value (ie Google search result hits) lies in my honest opinion about bags, and lucky for me my love of bags are still going strong.
