Quince 2022 Review: The Jewelry Case, Women's Oversized Cardigan, Women's T-Shirt Dress, Men's Shirts And More

Thanks to everyone who purchased through my referral link in the past, I’ve been able to try quite a few things on credit. I wrote a comprehensive Quince review of all the things I tried during the last half of last year and I also wrote a Quince jewelry review and a Quince Linen review. Well here are all the other things I’ve tried since the beginning of this year:

Accessories

Jewelry Travel Case: I have a very old Neiman Marcus one where the leather pulls finally pulled off, so I thought I’d try Quince’s leather jewelry case. And as much as I love Quince, I have to say that this jewelry case is not the best. First the zipper isn’t smooth and feels a tad cheap. Inside, my necklaces never stay hung on the hooks and one got quite knotted while I was using the case. Also the ring barrel won’t fit a ring size smaller than a 5 due to the large leather snap (so I guess I can’t travel with any pinky rings). My Neiman Marcus jewelry case doesn’t have the best organization either, so I’m not sure if there are any great travel jewelry cases out there or if they’re all kind of meh. Anyone have one that they love?

Silk Scrunchies: This was an impulse add-on but I’m so glad I got it. I really like these silk scrunchies. They’re easy to use and gentle on my hair. I mostly wear them around at home since I’m not sure the scrunchie look is in (like that scene in SATC). But as far as silk scrunchies go, these are the best!

Women’s Clothes

Flow Knit ultra soft biker shorts: I was not a fan of these biker shorts. They are super soft and comfortable but since the material is so soft it gives quite a bit of camel toe. And it doesn’t hold you in. I think if you’re looking for a comfy lounge-type biker shorts these may be for you. But since I like to work out in biker shorts (and I lounge in Quince’s super soft fleece shorts (reviewed here) these biker shorts aren’t for me.

100% organic cotton oversized cardigan: I added this to my order because I was highly influenced by a “coastal grandmother” look. Since it’s the height of summer I haven’t worn it a lot but I do like the quality and style. It’s the perfect slouchy cardigan for a more casual look, or it might be a great throw-on if you work in a cold office. I got this in a medium and it’s the perfect length for my 5’4” frame. I like it so much that I was tempted in getting a second one in either camel or navy, but neither were left in my size [Note: They weren’t in stock at the time of writing this but they are in stock now. Ahhh so tempting…]

Organic Cotton Relaxed T-Shirt Dress: I’m a huge fan of Pact’s organic cotton t-shirt dress so I thought I would try out Quince’s version. Right off the bat, the Quince one is a different weave, which has less stretch to it. The Pact one is more like a stretchy tee. I decided to go with a large on this one because I wanted a dress to be slightly oversized and not too short (especially when I raise my arms). And it fits well and I’m glad it’s not too short. I really like the tight weave of this t-shirt dress and it feels a lot more expensive than its $35 price tag. I could see this becoming a classic staple in my closet.

Men’s Clothes

Untucked Dress Shirt: My husband doesn’t wear dress shirts often, but he does occasionally so I got him one of Quince’s late last year. He loved it so much, he asked if he could give some away to friends as gifts. I also got him a couple more since then. At the end of last year there were only a handful of colors, all solid, but now I see Quince has quite a bit more variety with many more patterned shirts. These run true to size and I think they’re a great value!

Flowknit Ultra-Soft Performance shirt: My husband loves this because it’s super soft but also sweat wicking. The fabric is fairly thick and not the flimsy type of activewear shirt. I ordered a second one for him because he loved the first one so much, but the second one came with a manufacturer defect (the sleeve wasn’t sewn onto the body). Quince kindly sent a replacement when I filed for an exchange, and they let me know that they contacted their factory to ensure other batches don’t have the same mistake. They didn’t want the defective one back, so I decided to sew it up and now my husband got an extra shirt for free. This also runs true to size.

And that’s it for the miscellaneous stuff from Quince this year. I do have a Quince bag review in mind where I talk about all my past Quince bag purchases as well as a couple of new ones. Thanks again to everyone who uses my referral link to get $20 off their first Quince purchase. It is because of you guys that I can keep bringing you new Quince reviews!
