Moving from conspicuous to conscious consumption and doing reviews along the way.  Find plenty of unsponsored reviews of Quince, Everlane, Grana, and Cuyana on the site!  I'm working towards a minimal waste lifestyle, and oh yea I love bags >.<

The New Fairly Curated Shop

As a present to myself on my 40th year (my birthday is in a couple months), I’ve decided to try something that I’ve always wanted to do—open a (legit) online store. As much as I love reviewing things on this blog, I no longer want to be just a critiquer. I want to throw my hat into the ring (or rather marketplace). Yet I don’t want to sell more junk, things that’ll just end up in landfills one day. I want to sell things that I love, that I think everyone would love, and that are good for the planet (sustainable/ethical/socially responsible). I want to present a selection of items that I think are (fairly) curated.

I also want to open a store mindfully, so I’m coming out with a new product (or new brand) once per month. I don’t aim to make a lot of money (though not being in the red would be nice). Who knows if anything will sell, but at least I know I'll love every single item in stock (and would be willing to utilize it for my own personal use should things not turn out favorably lol).

I also want to stretch my digital marketing muscle by selling for myself and not just for other people. I’ve been writing this blog for 7+ years now and have recommended and enabled a lot of purchases. Now I want to work for myself with products I truly believe in. So I’ll also be writing a sustainability-minded and hopefully educational monthly newsletter that you can subscribe to here (the first newsletter will be out next week 🤞🏻 or the week after and the first of every month after that).

As you can see, the Fairly Curated Shop is currently empty right now. But my first product(s) will be up tomorrow along with its review. Stay tuned!

P.S. I currently plan to ship all my items in reused packaging. All packaging is clean and will come from my personal stash (I am loathe to throw away plastic mailers if I can reuse them for my ebay shop and now this shop). If the item is a gift and you want it to be packaged with an all new cardboard box, please let me know when checking out.
