Moving from conspicuous to conscious consumption and doing reviews along the way.  Find plenty of unsponsored reviews of Quince, Everlane, Grana, and Cuyana on the site!  I'm working towards a minimal waste lifestyle, and oh yea I love bags >.<

Top 10 Favorite Things I've Blogged About, 2020 Edition

Temporary Housewifey top 10 favorites

This has become a yearly tradition, where I sum up my top 10 favorite things I’ve blogged about (see 2019 here and 2018 here). And it’s not just what I blogged about for the year but rather my favorites from the sum total of my memory. And every year there are some things that stay the same and then there are new additions to the list.

Augustinus Bader Rich Cream with U Beauty Resurfacing Compound (new on the list): The AB Cream was on last year’s list but I still love it (Augustinus Bader Cream and Rich Cream review here). But I now apply the U Beauty Resurfacing Compound (review coming soon) before the cream and my skin is looking pretty fantastic. The Resurfacing Compound also helps the AB Cream glide on easier and thus I’m able to use less of the AB cream. It’s a win-win all around!

Celine Soft Cube bag: Still my favorite bag of the bunch and used fairly often considering I don’t go out often at all these days. My love for this old Celine bag is still going strong ❤️. My original review of the Celine Soft Cube bag here.

Safety Razor (really love this gorgeous rose gold one): This was on last year’s list and I truly believe that everyone should try it at least once and it will work for 95% of the people out there. We all need to make the switch because let’s stop putting more plastic out there just to remove hair off our legs and pits. My full review of it here along with where I learned how to use it.

Quince French Linen Sheets (new on the list): I talk about all the reasons why I love the Quince French Linen Sheets in my review, and even though I think linen sheets from any brand is a major bedding upgrade, I especially like the Quince ones because they are OEKO-Tex certified but still quite affordable. You wouldn’t think it but linen is super insulating in the winter and just what I need right now. I love it so much I purchased several sets as gifts!

Two Days Off Haruko Dress (new on the list): This has been a summer staple and you’ve probably seen it on my Insta one too many times. I love the dress on it’s own or with sweaters (and then it looks like I’m wearing a gingham skirt). You can see my full review of the Two Days Off Dress here.

Martiniano Glove Shoes: In my review of these Martiniano Glove Shoes I called them the Bentley of glove flats and I still stand by that statement. I love these shoes more than ever and they’ve held up quite well (considering how rough I am with my shoes).

Lovevery Play Kits: I loved them last year when Emi was just an infant and I love them even more now that she’s a toddler. She plays with them daily and I feel like they not only keep her occupied but she’s also actually working on her skills. Now I pass these toys onto friends’ kids who also then get to play with them because all the toys are so durable. Like I mention in my Loevery Play Kits Review, I haven’t purchased every single box in the subscription but rather pick and choose my favorites. So far I’ve purchased 4 kits and each box has entertained Emi for 3-4 months at a time.

Guava Lotus Travel Crib (new on the list): This has been an essential during our short trips this year (and for our major temporary move to Hawaii coming up). My only regret is that I didn’t buy it sooner. Read all about why I love it in my Guava Lotus Travel Crib review.

The Nugget (new on the list): So I haven’t actually written a review of this yet but it’s coming next week. I didn’t know how much I loved it until it was gone 😭 (we lent it to a friend while we’re in Hawaii). But this is a quarantine/stay-at-home-because-of-wildfire-smoke sanity-saver and worth every penny!
