Quince Kids Clothes Review: Girls Dresses

It’s been awhile since I’ve reviewed kids clothes because I tend to mostly purchase from Hanna Andersson. But lately I’ve noticed that their quality has gone down though the prices are the same. And PACT, my other go-to for high quality kids items, are no longer doing kids clothing. So I decided to check out Quince since they’ve really expanded their line of kids clothing (I think up until last year they only did cashmere sweaters for kids). I of course will update this review the more items I try, but I figured I might as well start the post now before I try too many things and feel to overwhelmed to tackle the post (like it happened for my Quince Home Goods review).

Organic Cotton Skater Dress 2-Pack

My daughter and I are huge fans of these dresses. They’re made of 93% organic cotton and 7% spandex which has 2% more spandex than the Hanna Andersson skater dresses that we’ve gotten in the past. So the Quince ones are a touch stretchier but overall they’re about the same as the HA ones. And yet price-wise you can get two Quince dresses for less than the price of one (unless HA is on sale—which they often are so don’t ever buy HA at full retail price). I would say the only difference is that the Quince dresses have a larger neck hole so I have to make sure I cover the back of her neck and upper back with sunscreen, and the sleeves are longer than the HA ones. As for sizing, I went up a size since Emi is so tall (she currently fits a 6-7 in HA but I got her an 8 in Quince). I would say they run on the shorter side. I also got the long-sleeve version of their Skater Dress and everything is the same except of course the sleeves (so it also runs short, which I learned when I got the size 7’s for Emi).

100% Cotton Poplin Smocked Flutter Sleeve Dress

This adorable dress has fast become Emi’s favorite. The pattern is so cute and the fabric is really crisp, yet doesn’t wrinkle excessively. We again got it in size 8 and it fits perfectly. Her only complaint is that the ruching can get a tad itchy so she usually wears a tank top underneath. If they had another dress in this style we would get it, but unfortunately it’s the only one right now.

100% Cotton Poplin Puff Sleeve Dress

Unfortunately, Emi did not like this dress. Though it’s made of the same great material as the dress above, the style of the dress isn’t as cute. The puff sleeves made her look a bit like a linebacker, and overall the dress was a tad too big even though we got it in her current size 8. Anyway we’ll see if she’ll like it later when she’s a bit bigger, but for now it’s a no.

I know this review is a tad short but I plan to add more items to the review once we get more. Overall I’m happy with the quality of their kids clothes and plan to buy more. Unfortunately a lot of the sizes are currently sold out, and that’s the only reason why I haven’t purchased more.

P.S. You can find all my other Quince reviews here. And all my other kid-related reviews here.

P.P.S Coincidentally Quince is having a one day sale today June 18th! You can find the link to their Insider Sale here and it looks like the Organic Cotton dresses are on sale!
