Weekend Update/Ramblings
How was your week? Mine was fine. It just flew by. And we’re finally in February, which means I could end my no buy month and transition to a low-buy month. So I went for my first thrift trip of the year to Crossroads (my favorite is in San Jose because I usually have the best luck at selling there and finding some real keepers). This time I didn’t really find much, but I was in the market for a striped button-down and found the perfect one. I was glad there wasn’t a lot I wanted to buy since it helped to keep me to my low-buying goals.
I know I keep saying this, but I’m thinking of doing another 10x10 challenge this month (maybe starting on the 10th again) since my last challenge was so successful at helping me see the infinite bounty I already have in my closet. Plus it was a nice motivation to get me thinking about style and “dressing up” for the day. I might call it a #LessNew10x10 (to go along with my Less New 2022 goals) and try to do it on the 10th of each month (though that’s a bit ambitious so we’ll see).
So did you guys finish watching all of And Just Like That too? Don’t worry no spoilers here. I haven’t really talked about it because TBH I was pretty meh about it. I mean some parts were so cringey that you have to think how could the writers have gotten it so wrong? I wasn’t sure I could get through the whole show. But I do appreciate the diversity they’re trying to add, even though it feels a tad forced. But hey they’re trying. I also appreciate that they’re addressing issues of women going through menopause and aging. I don’t think that really gets presented enough on TV. But the real gem of the whole show was their separate documentary about AJLT. So good! Loved all the talk about their iconic fashion pieces (with the clips from SATC so you know what they’re talking about). And wow SJP really is Carrie IRL when it comes to fashion (she stored all the SATC clothes herself and has a true appreciation for the clothes).

Are you guys doing anything special for Valentine’s Day? My husband and I usually don’t because I view it as a hallmark holiday, though I’ve been really into heart jewelry these days (actually been very into jewelry in general and have started a personal jewelry insta account just for fun). Above are some of the pieces I’ve been eyeing on Etsy.
Anyways hope you guys have a great coming week!
