What I Bought in August
Wow another month has gone and yep I bought a few things (though luckily not as much stuff as July). I’m surprised I’m still buying clothes, considering I don’t go anywhere other than grocery shopping (and the occasional Home Goods excursion). But I definitely try to buy things that I know I’ll wear for awhile and/or I’ve been eyeing for awhile.
What I Bought
Fog Linen Garcon Apron: I heard of them before since I’ve been reviewing ethical/slow fashion linen for awhile. They’re a Japanese company that specializes in linen goods for the home.
Little Women Atelier Amy Pinafore: I first learned about this Russian etsy shop that make romantic dresses to order from Paula. They use Oeko-tex linen (though I don’t know where they source it from) and it’s all handmade in Russia. They remind me of the Lithuanian linen Etsy shops (like LinenFox and NotPerfectLinen).
Hackwith Design House swimsuit from Slowre: I purchased another great item from Grechen this month. I normally would not purchase a swimsuit used however I trust Grechen and know this came from her personal wardrobe. This is my first time trying anything from Hackwith Design House (an ethical blogger favorite) and am excited to test run this swimsuit the next time I go to the pool. It doesn’t feel like my other swimsuits (more substantial, less nylon-y) and I wonder how well it holds up in water.
Tradlands Nico dress in the Caroline print (sold out): After eyeing this dress for almost 6 months, I finally pulled the trigger on it when it went on sale (I purchased it during the first week of the sale so I got 20% off). And even then, I had to get an XS since they didn’t have it in my regular size (usually a small or medium). Luckily it still fits fine because it was made to be oversized. So is it worth the hype? I’ll answer that in my review :)
And that’s it. Not too much damage this month and I’m glad. I definitely do not need to keep endlessly buying things (it’s been how many years of me saying this? lol, I’m getting there!).
